All of small-college sports, in one place.

Declared is an independent platform. It is not affiliated with, partnered with, or endorsed by the NAIA, NCAA, NJCAA, or any other athletic association or conference. Athletes and coaches must follow their own association's transfer rules before signing up.

Why Declared exists

Our mission is to serve college coaches and athletes.

Declared is the transfer portal for small-college athletics, designed to provide visibility to both coaches and athletes. This platform eliminates the manual search process, allowing time to be spent on what matters most: finding the right fit.

Declared serves as a central database. Athletes can view programs and message coaches directly when they fit what that program is recruiting. Coaches can filter through every athlete by measurables and academics, and sort them by stats.

Built from real experience in small-college athletics, and shaped by the feedback of coaches across the country.

How it works

The full walkthrough

For players

  1. Declare. Create your profile with your last season's stats. You control it.
  2. Add your film. Optional, but strongly encouraged. You enter everything yourself, and it shows as self-reported, with your film link once you add it.
  3. Get recruited. Verified coaches on Declared can find you and message you directly. Your contact info stays private unless you share it.

For coaches

  1. Sign up with your .edu. Pick your school from the ones already in our system and your level. That verifies you, or Declared confirms you before you pay if your address is new to it.
  2. Search by need. Filter by position, class, eligibility, GPA, height, state and desired major, and sort by any stat.
  3. Reach out. Message declared athletes directly, and control who can contact you.

FAQ

Do I have to declare to be recruited?

Yes. Declaring is how coaches are allowed to contact you. You control it: mark yourself committed when you commit, or delete your account any time.

Can a coach contact me before I declare?

No. Messaging only opens after you declare, and we enforce that. It protects you. Following your association's transfer rules is still your responsibility.

Who can use Declared?

Transferring athletes at any level and the coaches who recruit them. You are responsible for following your own association's transfer rules (NAIA, NCAA, NJCAA, CCCAA, NWAC, or whichever association governs your school) before you sign up.

Where does the data come from?

Athletes enter their own stats and, if they choose, a film link. It is self-reported and athlete-owned.

What does it cost?

Coaches: one subscription per program (school plus sport) with every coach seat included. NAIA, NCAA D3 and JUCO programs are $100 a year; NCAA D1 and D2 programs are $250 a year; plus sales tax where it applies. The exact total is shown at checkout before anything is charged.

Is Declared affiliated with the NAIA, NCAA, or NJCAA?
